Practical training for community workers across NSW

Build the skills and confidence to support victim-survivors with Victims Services financial assistance applications.

Improve application quality and assist more victim-survivors access the support they’re entitled to under the Victims Rights and Support Act.

Module One - Understanding the Victims Support Scheme

An overview of the scheme, types of support available, time limits, evidence and key considerations when helping a client to decide whether and when to apply.

Module Two - Completing an application step-by-step

A step-by-step walk through of the application form, with a deep dive into collecting correct information and providing valid supporting evidence.

Module Three - Lodged applications - what next?

An explanation of what might happen after the application is lodged, the internal and external review processes and getting legal help.
