About
This series of events has been designed specifically to support international undergraduate and postgraduate engineering students throughout their journey at The University of Western Australia.
Moving to a new country and adapting to university life can be both exciting and challenging. Through a range of workshops, networking opportunities, academic support sessions, and community-building activities, our goal is to help students feel connected, confident, and supported from their first day at UWA and beyond.
Our events focus on:
• Building a sense of belonging within the UWA Engineering community
• Supporting academic success and student wellbeing
• Developing essential study, communication, and professional skills
• Connecting students with academic staff, industry representatives, student leaders, and support services
• Encouraging meaningful friendships and peer networks
Throughout the semester, students can participate in activities such as:
• International Engineering Meet & Greets
• Pre-Departure and Transition Sessions
• Academic Success Workshops
• Presentation and Communication Skills Workshops
• Exam Preparation Sessions
• Wellbeing and Resilience Events
• Industry and Professional Development Opportunities
Whether you are just arriving in Perth or progressing through your degree, these events are designed to help you make the most of your engineering experience at UWA.
