The Collective - 50 years of Arts Access Victoria!
For 50 years, AAV has championed disability justice and the human rights of Deaf and Disabled people through art.
The Collective digs deep into the AAV archive, highlighting projects across the decades. Witness the huge social shift from incarceration to liberation, across 50 years of practice.
The exhibition includes artworks by Deaf and Disabled artists working today that respond to the archives. Discover works that are bold, uncompromising, authentic, and proud.
Explore the Audio/Visual installation featuring work by over 100 artists.
When: Friday 5 July–Saturday 27 July. The Exhibition is open Tuesday to Saturdays 11–5 pmWhere: Meat Market Stables, 2 Wreckyn Street (corner of Wreckyn St and Courtney Streets), North Melbourne.
Access: The stables are an accessible venue with accessible bathrooms. There is a quiet room. Assistance animals welcome. Audio description for Audio/Visual installation.
