Welcome to Swan Reach Observatory, home to South Australia's premier research-grade PlaneWave CDK700 telescope. Located just a scenic 2-hour drive from Adelaide through the picturesque Adelaide Hills and Mount Lofty Ranges, our world-class facility sits in the pristine core of the globally recognised River Murray International Dark Sky Reserve.
Boasting an exceptional darkness rating of up to 21.9 SQM, we bring deep space into extraordinary clarity.
Through our guided public tours, live deep-sky imaging, and immersive stargazing sessions, we bring the universe within reach. Whether you are a first-time family explorer, a school group, or a dedicated astrophotographer, join us to experience "The Ultimate Quiet" and see the night sky as nature intended.
