SHIR Presents Songs of Strength 2025

SHIR Australian Jewish Music Festival returns to Sydney and premieres in Melbourne

Following the sold-out success of 2024's Songs of Hope, SHIR Australian Jewish Music Festival, supported by Shalom Collective, presents Songs of Strength - An Evening to Uplift, Inspire and Unite.

Between Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur, we will congregate in the hearts of our cities to be moved and galvanised by the power of Jewish music. This year we proudly perform Songs of Strength in two iconic Town Halls - Sydney and Melbourne. Each city will experience a one-night-only celebration of Jewish music ranging from musical theatre to pop, liturgical to the latest releases from Israel - including the song that propelled Yuval Raphael to second place at Eurovision, New Day Will Rise.

Headliners: National icons Deborah Conway AM and Willy Zygier (Melbourne)

Featuring at both concerts: Ben Goldstein (Sydney) • Danielle Bavli (Sydney/New York) • Brett Kaye (Melbourne) • Montana Sharp (Melbourne) • Amit Benita (Sydney/Tel Aviv) • Sasha Fisher (Sydney) • Daniel Weltlinger (Sydney/Berlin) • CHUTNEY Band (Sydney)

Sydney Town Hall – Sunday 28 September | 7.00pm

Melbourne Town Hall – Tuesday 30 September | 7.00pm

Please double-check your city before booking – each concert has its own unique energy and seating map.

Don’t miss what promises to be the Jewish cultural event of the year.
