Short History of PJAC Film Programming

Since 1986 the Port Jefferson Arts Council has curated a variety of film programs focusing on different themes. Winner of the Best of LI for 9 years running, the Port Jefferson Documentary Series fills a vital gap in our area’s access to first run, critically acclaimed documentaries fresh from their debut at prestigious festivals. In 2024, PJAC expanded to reach a wider audience and to collaborate with more of our valued national and community partners such as ITVS/PBS, The Long Island Museum, the Middle Country Public Library, The First United Methodist Church and Theatre Three.
