About

Love Letters to the Land is a textile project by artist Liv Enqvist, developed through a series of embroidery workshops across the Northern Rivers.

Across three workshops in Brooklet, Lismore and Byron Bay, participants are invited to reflect on the places, plants, rivers and landscapes they love, and how we can care for them in a changing climate.

Guided through simple stitching techniques, each participant will create a small stitched love letter to the land. These pieces will later be brought together by Liv to form a larger textile artwork, carrying individual reflections on place, care and connection across the region.

No embroidery experience is needed.
All materials are provided.

Places are limited and each participant’s stitched piece will contribute to the larger artwork. Please only book if you are able to attend. If your plans change, please cancel your ticket through Humanitix as soon as possible so your place can be offered to someone else.

Workshop dates

Friday 5 September - Woom Space, Brooklet
Saturday 19 September - Lismore Regional Gallery, Lismore
Sunday 27 September - GardenHouse, Byron Bay

All workshops run from 10am-12.30pm.

This project is supported by Ingrained Foundation, Vickie Brooke and Arts Northern Rivers.
