Keeping Everybody Safe: Trauma-Informed Violence Management
Children and young people affected by developmental trauma often experience heightened arousal, impaired emotional regulation, and difficulty trusting the adults who care for them.
These factors can contribute to aggression, threats, property damage, and physical violence in care, school, disability, and community settings.
This practical, trauma-informed workshop helps participants understand the causes of aggressive behaviour, and respond in ways that maximise safety while maintaining therapeutic relationships.
Combining contemporary trauma theory with real-world experience, attendees will gain practical strategies that can be applied immediately in care, school, and community environments.
‘Keeping Everybody Safe’ has been delivered for hundreds of residential and foster carers, support workers, NDIS care teams and teachers across Australia with consistent reported reductions in incidents of violence and injury, use of restraints, and improved overall outcomes for carers, staff and young people in their care.
