Inclusive Crewing Project

Funded by the federal government Department of Social Services via a Building Employer Confidence grant, the Inclusive Crewing Project supports a suite of activities to build confidence in the screen industry around disability employment. The strategy includes activities such as the Bus Stop Employment Roadshow, disability employment on our feature film Boss Cat and the development of further resources to our groundbreaking Inclusion in Action training program.

These 9 micro workshop resources have been created covering the following areas:

  • Producer
  • Director of Photography
  • Director
  • 1st Assistant Director
  • Production Design
  • Hair and Makeup
  • Lighting
  • Sound
  • Editing

These will be presented by an industry expert together with a person with a disability as part of a suite of free micro sessions.

The purpose of these online sessions and resources is to assist crews, creatives and Heads of Department in these specific key areas and roles to build their confidence and capacity to work with and employ people with disability, ensuring a culturally safe workplace and that individuals needs can be accommodated and supported on set or within the production company.

Each session is just 30 minutes long. All times are AEDT (Sydney Time) and are offered 3 times to ensure the sessions are not too crowded.

Sessions are free but you must register to attend.
