A Note on Historical Context

Set in Paris just after the Nazi occupation, this production of An American in Paris portrays a city grappling with the legacy of World War II. To reflect this history, the production contains a small number of references to the occupation, including brief appearances of Nazi symbols. These elements are included to acknowledge the realities of the time and honour the resilience of those who lived through it.
