Tugun Theatre Company is thrilled to present Mary Chase’s Pulitzer Prize winning masterpiece, Harvey. This beloved classic of the American stage is a whimsical, hilarious, and deeply moving exploration of imagination, kindness, and acceptance.

The story centres on Elwood P. Dowd, an affable, polite gentleman whose best friend happens to be an invisible, six foot tall, gentle giant rabbit named Harvey. While Elwood’s unwavering kindness warms the hearts of strangers, his social climbing sister, Veta, is driven to her wits' end by his eccentric companion. In her desperate attempt to avoid social ruin, Veta tries to have Elwood committed to a sanitarium. This triggers a brilliant comedy of errors that proves a little kindness and imagination might be exactly what the world needs.

First premiering in 1944, this heartwarming tale struck a chord with audiences worldwide and remains a staple of classic theatre today, beautifully illustrating how a touch of magic can transform ordinary lives.
