About

Halloween 2026

A weekend of horror, filmmaking, classic cinema and creative conversations in Masterton.

Halloween 2026 brings together four special events across Regent 3 Cinemas and Aratoi Wairarapa Museum of Art & History, including a 30th anniversary screening of Wes Craven's SCREAM (1996), the world premiere of local horror short THE BOXER (2026), a masterclass with animator and filmmaker Charlie Faulks, a collection of Halloween Horror Shorts, and James Whale's 1933 classic THE INVISIBLE MAN.

Whether you love horror, want to discover local filmmaking, or are curious about the creative journeys behind the work, there’s something to get into.

Come along for one event or make a day of it.
