Game On Golf Junior Academy

Game On Golf’s Junior Academy is a structured, term-based program for children aged 3–16, running every weekend at Cheltenham Golf Club and The Furrows at Kingston Heath.

Juniors are grouped by age and ability, ensuring beginners feel comfortable and supported while developing players continue to be challenged.

Our Academy follows a clear pathway:

TRIAL → LEARN → TRAIN → PLAY → PERFORM → ACHIEVE → COMPETE

Each phase has a purpose, giving families a clear understanding of what their child is learning, where they are progressing and what comes next.

LEARN | Ages 3–6
A fun introduction to golf through games, stories and simple challenges. Children develop fundamental movement, golf skills and confidence while learning to love the game.

TRAIN | Ages 7–12
Players begin developing stronger technique, consistency and understanding across our 11 golf subjects, working towards milestones as their skills progress.

PLAY | Taking Skills to the Course
For juniors ready to move from practice to playing golf. Students learn how to navigate the course, including etiquette, course care, decision-making and scoring, while progressing through our 9-Level Tee System.

PERFORM | Learning How to Practise
For juniors who want to take their golf more seriously. Players develop purposeful practice habits, routines, goal setting, course strategy and the ability to apply their skills under pressure.

ACHIEVE | Developing the Competitive Golfer
The next step for juniors working towards or holding a handicap. Achieve focuses on building a more reliable golf game, improving scoring skills and preparing players for club representation and junior competition.

COMPETE | High-Performance Development
For advanced juniors looking to take their golf further through higher-intensity training, tournament preparation and on-course performance development.
