The Maine Piano Guerrillas are coming to Castlemaine Fringe!

During Castlemaine Fringe 2025 , The Coolroom at the Northern Arts Hotel are joining forces with the Maine Piano Guerrillas to put donated and existing upright pianos in locations around town to encourage the spontaneous mellifluous, mesmerising and melodious piano playing  in public places.

PIANOS AT LARGE - ALL DAY 22 MARCH - 6 APRIL

From 22 March to 6 April , we will perpetuate piano mayhem at up to ten  locations around Castlemaine led by our very own Pianists at Large [PALs], including our Patron Maggie Jackson, Jem Challender,  Paul Ryan, Jude Russell, and John Meir.

PIANOS AT LARGE GRAND FINALE CONCERT
SUNDAY 6 APRIL 6PM

We end 14 days of pianos at large with a public perfectly played grand piano Concert at The Coolroom Northern Arts Hotel. All welcome. It will involve our piano PALS and anyone who wants to contribute a tune. Tickets:
