Ethical Clothing Australia Week 2026 runs from 10 to 20 September, celebrating the skilled hands shaping Australia’s local and ethical textile, clothing and footwear industry.

This year’s theme, All Clothing Is Handmade, recognises that every garment, uniform, piece of PPE and pair of shoes depends on people. From design and patternmaking through cutting, sewing, printing, quality checks and dispatch, skilled workers bring textile, clothing and footwear products into being.

Throughout the week, Ethical Clothing Australia will bring together workers, accredited businesses, unions, industry leaders and the wider community through events, webinars and business-led activities. Hear directly from the people behind the clothes we wear, explore the value of local manufacturing, and join conversations about fair conditions, ethical procurement and the future of Australia’s textile, clothing and footwear industry.
