Cheesemaking is fun and addictive, and can also save you money!

If you have never made cheese before, it's best to start with Cheesemaking Basics where you will make your own Feta (this is not a demonstration where you just watch - you will have your own pot and station!) and we will make ricotta, Vache fresh cheese in several flavours and you will learn about yoghurt making.

From there to continue your cheesemaking journey we recommend Hard Cheese & Halloumi. You will make your own Gouda, we will make Halloumi and you will make your own simple cheese press to take home. We will also wax a cheese and you will be given full support while you age your Gouda at home. You will be given instructions to make another hard cheese which doesn't require ageing - a great one to try on your own!

Our workshops are available to book as private classes, normally with 5-8 people, but please contact us with your enquiries as we can make most things work. Our Private Workshops include an option to do our Mozzarella & Mascarpone Workshop as well which is a fun class requiring no knowledge of cheesemaking at all. All Workshops include a delicious platter lunch and a cheeseboard, and you will take a stack of cheese home that you made yourself - as well as plenty more goodies. Bring a big bag for it all!

Our workshops are held in Kaiapoi, Canterbury but we can also travel to you if you have an appropriate venue we can use. We can arrange a Christchurch venue for larger groups of up to 16 people. 

After your workshop you receive support and guidance in finishing off the cheeses you made, plus help in all your future cheesemaking endeavours.
