National Standards Skills

National Standards modules target the principles and benchmarks within the National Standards for Australian Museums and Galleries (2023). They are designed to be accessible, practical and scaleable to support any organisation looking to align with the National Standards.

Topics will be added over time addressing the foundational skills and knowledge covered by the National Standards. Each topic will follow a regular structure of PD:

  • Free virtual info session: open to all as a refresher or introduction.

  • In-person half-day workshop: small group practical session run by AMaGA WA staff. Will be run regionally or in metro centres dependent on need.

  • Virtual half-day workshop: a small group virtual session run by AMaGA WA staff to reach audiences unable to attend the in-person session.

Future sessions are planned to include Masterclasses on certain topics.

Workshops will be repeated if there is suitable interest or can be delivered on-demand for your organisation, town or region.
