Call of the Sea offers on-the-water educational sailing programs for Scout Troops and individuals, ages 8-17.

Troops can choose to reserve an entire ship for an exclusive program, or join a SEAS program which is open to individual participants, so that families can sign up their scouts directly.

Educational activities aboard the tall ships, schooner Seaward or brigantine Matthew Turner may include:

• Seamanship (learning knots, navigation and a turn at the helm)

• Marine Science (plankton tow, marine mammal identification, water sampling)

• Art (making a flag to fly while sailing)
