About

Adelaide is joining New York, Berlin, Tokyo, Stockholm, London and Sydney as part of a prestigious global movement of Climate Action Weeks, a proven model that accelerates local collaboration and elevates global visibility.

Adelaide Climate Action Week is the annual anchor point for South Australia's climate progress — a concentrated week of energy that builds relationships, strategies and structures that carry through the rest of the year, and years to come.

South Australia has already demonstrated that rapid energy transition is possible, moving from 1% to 74% renewable generation in 17 years.

At the same time, the state is confronting the real impacts of climate change. Bushfires, a prolonged drought and the harmful algal bloom have highlighted the vulnerability of the agricultural sector, coastal industries, and ecosystems.

Born from the momentum of Adelaide's COP31 bid. Built on relationships with climate action weeks around the world. ACAW is where government, industry, research, First Nations and community efforts connect and flourish.

South Australia isn't short on climate ambition or action. Each sector is taking remarkable steps, but more is possible. ACAW creates the infrastructure to amplify, connect and channel ideas and energy - to catalyse ever more action and impact.
